Specialty Camps at Shorecrest Prep

During the summer our Founder and Lead Teacher,

Ragon Ralston spends her days teaching a few select specialty camps at Shorecrest Preparatory School in St. Pete.

Her camps are offered during various weeks,

but always from 9 am to 12 pm, Monday through Friday at the incredible campus of Shorecrest Preparatory.

Their summer camps are EPIC, open to the public, and offer options for Wildlings of all ages!

Camping Adventure

June 3rd - 7th

Campers will learn more about the tools and skills needed to make each outdoor adventure a success.

We will start the week by learning some of the most essential items needed for a fun camping trip, and then we'll learn how to read camp and trail maps and practice making our own.

Next, we'll learn about different types of shelters, other than the traditional tent! Finally, we'll explore a few easy recipes for cooking while camping and then wrap up our fun-filled week on Friday with an epic camping adventure from beginning to end!

Wild FL Critter Camp

In this exciting nature-based class we'll learn all about our most common wild neighbors!

Each day we will focus on one of the following animals: roseate spoonbill, American alligator, Florida panther, and armadillo. Our final critter class will feature not one, but FIVE, of Florida's most infamous snakes.

Acting like little ecologists, campers will use all of their senses to deepen their understanding of each critter's unique needs and contributions to our habitat.

Dino Discoveries

June 17th to 21st

In this prehistoric-themed camp, we will spend our days delving into the lives of some of our favorite fossilized creatures.

We will learn a little more about a few of the most popular species and will use a variety of different materials to create all things dino. We will dig for fossils, do dino yoga, and spend one whole day celebrating the water-loving dinosaurs with a fun splash day!

Each camper will leave the week with their own homemade dino model, fossils found and created, and a deeper understanding of the world some of their favorite creatures lived in.

Insect Investigations

July 8th to 12th

We'll spend our days engaged in STEAM-based activities that will teach us about the many varieties of bees, butterflies, moths, centipedes, millipedes, wasps, and more that call Florida home.

Each day will focus on a different bug, giving curious young minds a deeper understanding of some of the species they see every day, and their important role in our ecosystem.

Space Camp

July 15th to 19th

This STEAM-based camp will be out of this world!

Campers will have a chance to make space-themed art such as sun-inspired collages, star mobiles, and a 3-dimensional model of our Earth.

Campers will leave with a better understanding of some of the major features of our solar system. They will participate in daily STEAM-based projects and will wrap up the week's adventures with a Space Party!

Big Builders

Welcome to Big Builders, a camp where each day presents a new STEAM-based design challenge!

Campers will solve problems creatively using a variety of different building materials such as legos, blocks, upcycled materials, marshmallows, pretzels, jellybeans, and more!
