Wildlings Forest School

Our drop-off program is designed to provide your child with a wealth of knowledge and skills in all the traditional academic domains such as literacy, math, science, social studies, and the arts. Led by our knowledgeable Early Childhood Educator, Ms. Ragon, and her talented team of parent volunteers, your child will develop all their senses and abilities through a variety of fun and engaging nature-based activities, while enjoying the natural beauty and magic of our local parks and preserves.

Daily post-class summaries are emailed to families, providing a sneak peek into each day's adventures

via pictures and examples of the academic standards achieved. All you need to do is register your wildling and bring them to class with pre-applied sunscreen, bug spray, a spill-proof water bottle, outdoor-friendly clothing, and peanut-free snacks!

Mondays at Maximo Park

Starting on September 9th, Wildlings Forest School sessions will meet every Monday at Maximo Park in St. Petersburg.

This new and exciting location is sure to provide endless adventures and rich learning experiences!

Maximo Park has a meaningful history as an

important location for the Native Americans

who originally inhabited Pinellas County,

and features the most diverse natural habitats of

any of our locations. From the forested trails to the mazes of mangroves, and shallow beach access to Boca Ciega Bay, there will be no shortage of natural learning opportunities for the wildlings.

Although the deepest we will never go swimming in the bay, forest school sessions will include a healthy amount of splashing about in the shallow water and tide pools to investigate the environment.

For this reason, we kindly ask that you always drop your wildling off in water-friendly shoes and clothing.

Forest school sessions at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve resume on Tuesday, September 3rd.

We can't wait to continue growing wild in our original forest school location!

The rangers and park staff have been hard at work all summer making improvements to the already incredible park. Wildlings can look forward to once again exploring the nature center, rescue bird habitats, winding trails, playground, and borders of beautiful Lake Maggiore. â€‹

Wednesdays & Fridays at Folly Farms Preserve

Forest school sessions at Folly Farms Preserve will begin on Wednesday, September 4th.

This is a special little slice of paradise and we're so excited for all the magic and memories that will be made!

Don't be confused by its small size, this park may be less than ten acres yet utilizes every square inch to its maximum potential. There is a winding trail that takes you through various garden areas and a bit of forest, a 17-foot tall wooden gnome named Gnomeo, a playground, a community garden, and so much more. â€‹
